Current COVID-19 Update 2023
Covid 19 update for PODIATRY APPOINTMENTS 2023
The English and Welsh governments state that there is no requirement for face masks in healthcare settings unless there is a risk of splashing or known COVID-19 infection.
Following Royal College of Podiatry guidelines, the Podiatrist may still wear a mask for certain procedures as normal clinical practice. If you would prefer to wear a mask, you are free to do so.
We continue to allow additional cleaning time. Rigorous cross-infection prevention procedures and use of PPE are normal practice in our clinical setting anyway, but the following additional procedures are still in place:
- On arrival for your appointment, please wait in your car.
- Do not attend if you have tested positive for Covid 19 infection, are awaiting a result or you are experiencing Covid 19 symptoms.
We are very happy to talk to you on the telephone to discuss whether it is appropriate for you to be seen in clinic. If you feel unable to attend for an appointment but require advice, a video consultation may be a good option, this can either be booked directly through the website or by contacting directly through email / telephone.
